Privacy

Short version: your video never leaves your device, and Framewave doesn't track you.

Your videos

Framewave runs entirely in your browser. It reads your video where it is on your device, a little at a time, and writes the trimmed file to your device. It has no account, no upload and no server of its own for your work. Small thumbnails and the sound's outline may be kept in your browser's storage so that a video opens faster next time; you can clear them with your browser's site data.

No tracking

Framewave sends no usage data, uses no analytics and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your settings (theme, volume, the last cut of each video, recent files) are kept in your browser only.

If something goes wrong

When the editor stops on an error, it keeps a short technical report in your browser and offers it the next time, with a button to copy it. It is never sent anywhere.

Hosting

The website and the editor's files are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the requests your browser makes to download these files. Your videos are not part of them.
