How to trim a video on your phone
Shorten a clip before you send it, without installing an app. Framewave works in Chrome on Android, and the video never leaves your phone.
Trim in four steps
- Open Framewave in Chrome and tap . Pick the clip from your gallery.
- Drag the purple handles at the ends of the timeline. The preview shows the frame under your finger. Pinch the timeline with two fingers to zoom in.
- Tap the play button next to the times to check the part you keep.
- Tap Export (the arrow at the top) and save. The clip lands in your downloads, ready to share.
Tips
- Add Framewave to your home screen from Chrome's menu: it opens like an app and works offline.
- The frame buttons step one frame at a time when a handle is close but not quite right.
